We Franciscans are challenged to live an integrated life through prayer, community, and our ministry to serve the poor, neglected and disadvantaged youth, the powerless, people in need, and the elderly. We live by our vows of poverty (living in simplicity), chastity (living in love with all), and obedience (living and witnessing the Gospel).

Are you like St. Francis, ready and eager to become more intimate with Christ? Have you the power of will to make the sacrifice as did St. Francis? This is an extremely high sacrifice in the eyes of the world for it means the giving up of almost all that is considered of value in society. There is an opening in the Brothers of the Poor of St. Francis that perhaps only you can fill. Perhaps you have been given, or will be given the grace to join. Will you serve God by cooperating with His gift?

There are many ways in which one can serve God.

Perhaps the way for you is one that you never thought of before now. Perhaps God has been keeping a place open for you among a group of His friends, Religious Brothers. Give God the chance to speak to you. If you think you hear His voice, answer it! You can not ignore Him! Stop giving God so many instructions and just simply report for duty.
